n00b needs help!

can someone tell me how do i reverse the play of a video. eg: play from the end to the beginning. i have both windows movie maker and adobe premeir.

This can be done in conjunction with AVISynth and VirtualDubMod (two VERY useful tools for AMV making, and video editing in general, and both free to boot).

This page explains what you need to do. Haven't tried it myself yet, but it's a very basic script so I don't see how it couldn't work.

Sorry about the double post, but:

Shouldn't Premiere have a feature that reverses the video? I seem to recall that it involves changing the speed of the clip to -100% or something like that. Probably easier than the AVISynth method, since you can do it without planning which clip to reverse in advance.

its pretty obvious in premiere - right click on the clip in the timeline - goto speed/duration option and in there, and check the reverse speed option.

Hey, man. me and my partner in crime use Pinnical for our work. It's easy as hell. probably the easiest program to make videos on.
Just cost quite a bundle.
