Compressing with Sony Vegas

Now that my new amv is done it's time to compress and upload it for download. Problem: I go to "File" then "Render as" pick out "avi" and template "NTSC DV" and then saved. The vid is over 700 MB. How do I lessen the quality of the vid so I can upload it?

Don't tell me you're doing it in that crappy, wmv, 3000kb file format with interlace. I hope your not, cause there are much better ways.....
