Exporting less than every frame in VDubMod

I'm looking for a way to (if at all possible) export less than every frame from a video stream to get a collection of pictures for an effect i'm working on.

(i.e) every 10th frame, every 20th frame, etc...

Currently i am working with virtual dub mod, but i can use another program or script if need be. Any suggestions?

SelectEvery(10,0)

or

SelectEvery(20,0)

etc.

In vdubmod you can go to video>framerate and choose "decimate by"

I tried this, but the projected number of frames when i attempted to save image sequence for a test clip was the same for the default and decimate by 20.

I'm not sure if i made that point clear in the first post though; so for the record, i'm attempting to save a screenshot every x frames of a video file.

Ok.. i think i understand what was said now... I'll just decimate 20 or SelectEvery(20) then save image sequence on the result.
