I need codecs!

Post by jarommoroni » Thu Sep 29, 2005 7:36 pm

Can anyone give me a good site to download some codecs? I'm pretty new to all this but I know I need codecs...

Ta da, most or all of the codecs you'll ever need in one convenient package.

If you actually need Video for Windows codecs for encoding, which codecs are you looking for?
Lagarith is <a href="http://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html">here</a>, HuffYUV is <a href="http://www.neuron2.net/www.math.berkele ... l">here</a>, you can get an MJPEG codec <a href="ftp://ftp2.pegasusimaging.com/picvideo/ ... E">here</a>, and XviD is <a href="http://www.koepi.org/xvid.shtml">here</a>.

You could try this.

Most codec packs are evil; but I know what's in this one and FFDshow is included (though they say it's a well tested and stripped down version so you might have luck with that).

I'm using it now and all my subtitle, container and codec needs are gone. This is the amvapp of the playback world.
