Post by Ry0_San » Mon Aug 22, 2005 2:25 pm

Do I have to make an AMV frame by frame? Save like 1000 fames and then put them in a program and save it? Or is there someother way ????

You could if you wanted, I guess, but no one would even think about doing that. Try one of these opitions

1. Read the guides
or
2. Open WMM/other video editor (and if you ask for program suggestions, I will be forced to ki- er... hurt your feelings... a bunch...), and Import video

From what I can understand you take .vob files change it to avi then you can take the avi files and cut them into other smaller movies then you take a program like WMM and put it all togeather right???

The problem I am having is how do I get my avi's into smaller moives (ex. if I take vol 4 of Fullmetal alchemist and rip it to my computer and all I wanted was a scene of Roy drinking out of a cup then how do I get just that part and what program do I use?)

Thanks
Ryo

That's where the compositing program comes in. The compositing program (or editor) is what you do most of the work in. It's a program like Windows Movie Maker or Adobe Premiere Pro. You import the complete avi file into this program and then it allows you select precisely which section of the larger clip you want in your video and where you want it.

If you really just want one small clip from an entire episode, you could load the avi into virtualdub and roughly cut out the scene you want to save space, but most of the cutting is done in your compositing program. (Make sure that all your avi files are encoded lossless at all times, until you make the final one)
