Actually, he used MSPaint and Magix Music Maker.

The effects were done via motion setting, masking, and doing so repeatedly on the same clip.

yes,I know for Magix Music Maker, but is this software only for sound editing, not for video?
Can you tell the exact way some of the FXs were created? To be specific, the one in 01,40 min?

It's designed for music editing, but obviously it work for video too.

About 1:40, I take it you mean the spinning? Look closely. There are only three layers of source involved. The circle is one, the triangle are the source zoomed in, and the bar is a third layer.

You make it piece by piece. The bar, the circle, and the triangles were all likely made separately, and then combined.

Tip: effects are rarely as complicated as they seem. Look more closely, how they were done usually becomes apparant. If you want an exact howto, koop might tell you. Otherwise, you'll have to puzzle it out yourself, which isn't really all that bad.

The thing with effects being seemingly hard is that you dont actualy figure out how to do them properly untill you can use them in a meaningfull way :P

Nothing happened to it. Koop just didn't use it.
