AMVapp Problems - AviSynth Plugins

I seem to have a small problem while using the AMVapp - I can't get the plugins to work, namely mftoon(). I read the other thread where Scintilla suggested to download that file and rename it to a *.avsi extension, but it didn't help.

Any other ideas?

Also of note:

I'm working with some Hellsing footage, and I'm having some problems getting everything de-interlaced. I've tried the guides, but I was hoping for someone who has worked with Hellsing footage firsthand to help me out, but I'm at the point where all input would be helpful, I'm sure.

mftoon will not work if you installed the patch in addition to the amvapp (because mftoon needs a crappy old version of masktools in order to work).

Personally I think you shoud just ignore mftoon and use other sharpeners and FastLineDarken()

Okay, I tried using "fastlinedarken", but now I'm getting the same error I did with mftoon().

What am I missing?
