effect question
Before i get to the question first things first, i have adobe premiere pro 1.5 im hopping that this effect can be done on premiere and if so can you please name the effect.
The effect im talking about has been seen in many vids, such as the tainted donuts vid. The effect is when a sec. of the footage fades to another but you are still able to see both for a sec.
i hope im making sense and if not i apologize, im really not sure how to word it.
To Be More Specific: In the vid tainted donuts when jet passes a picture of the guy from trigun to the girl in the bar jet gets shoot down at then you see a brief fade from jet to spike for a sec. This takes place in 1 minute 39 secs of the vid.
Thanks In Advance

ok thanks thats it but there another problem i occured. i was messing around with but i still cant get it how i want it. i went to the effects control panel but the footage shows like a black fade out. i wanted The transition effect to smoothly merge with two input videos. The first footage gradually becomes more transparent while the other transparency decreases. Only the first footage is visible at the beginning of crossfade and only the other footage at the end. both are at varying stage of semitransparency in between these extremes, combined into single video.
Thanks again and sorry if im causing trouble to you guys.

Line up your two input clips right next to each other on one video track of the timeline.
Drag the cross dissolve effect from the effects list onto the spot where the two clips meet.
You can then adjust the length of the fade by dragging the edges. However, if you adjust the clips themselves in such a way that they no longer touch, the transition will disappear.
