Can I use mftoon with the old amvapp?

I really want to be able to use the new amvapp's "mftoon" sharpening filter, but since either me or my sister is always working on a project, we can't install the new amvapp in case it messes up our project files.

So is there a way to get mftoon to work with the old amvapp? I tried installing the mftoon plugin by itself but when I try to use it virtualdub won't recognize mftoon as a function.

Any suggestions?

You'll need an older version of mftoon but I wouldn't know where to acquire it. The other option is to use VirtualDub's version of mftoon but people seem to hate it for some reason (I've never really had a problem with it except that it overdarkens lines sometimes, when it refuses to behave I just don't use it at all).

make sure you have the three supplementary plugins.

I think the problem is that they don't have Avisynth 2.5 yet.

I'm afraid mftoon is not compatible with the old amvapp because the old amvapp uses avisynth 2.0x instead of 2.5x and thus doesn't support many of the things that mftoon requires.

That's too bad. I guess I'll just stick with msharpen, then.
