... I'm beginning to think that its' a DirectX-9c problem, but ...
. Ever have a DVD and Video Capture material not Deinterlace fully?
I recently started a new AMV project for the x-mas contest when I noticed
that almost 20% of my Video never got deinterlaced.. This is strange
because I've never noticed this problem - in the past.. I'm using VirtualDub's
1.4.10 & 1.5.4.1 & the current stable version with either
DeinterlaceAreaBased.vdf
DeinterlaceSmooth.vdf
Smartdelace.vdf or
the built-in Deinterlace filter, changing the setting as I go.
- am I just seeing things, or is there a better way to deinterlace without AVIsynch
which doesn't seem to want to work on WinME!?
note: the times when it "really" shows up are on Movements and Rotation.
- any idea's?

tomsmocomp (for avisynth) is a deinterlacer that is supposed to address motion. i've found it does help a little when editing interlaced footage causes really choppy motion.
apparently there is a virtualdub filter that is supposed to do the same thing:
time-based deinterlacer http://www.uwe-freese.de/vdubfilters.html
