deinterlacing?

Post by Pr1est » Tue Aug 24, 2004 8:31 pm

Posting here since I don't think anyone's responding in the amv announcements forum.

My latest vid, http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... d_id=47120 , has some issues as you can see with lines dancing all over the place whenever the pixelks change too quickly on the ripped DVD footage. Do i need to deinterlace? Or did I just compress wrong..?

Any help is appreciated so i can get a better quality version of this vid out to the public! :)

p.s. whenever i try to crop it so that the line on top of the jap non dvd rip footage is obscured, i compress and i get no video, just audio, :-\

Well that link is broken for me but your problem does seem like interlacing. If you are using AVS scripts then undoing it is very simple. It just involves telecide an decimate, though i can't say i remember off hand what the set them to, check the guides.

If you arn't using AVS scripts them im positive there are other ways to go about deinterlacing it, I'm just not familiar with them.

Not using AVS scripts, not exporting audio seperately. The AVS scripts are very spastic for me, and I'm using Vegas, so I'm slighty sure there are differences as opposed to premiere? Thanks for the reply! :)
