I doubt that would be usefull for amv people. Maybe if the sort of video software we use supports it... but I still doubt it.

Gelato is designed for high-end 3D work. Although there are some people here who do incorporate 3D elements into their work, I doubt anyone could really make full use of this just yet.

Also, Gelato requires a Quadro FX GPU, and isn't yet available for Windows XP -- only the GNU/Linux platform (well, ok, RedHat, but if it runs on RedHat it can be made to run on just about any GNU/Linux system). Go penguins :)

why on earth would nvidea release something on linux when the vast magority of the market is on windows. i mean yeah, it probably is sensible to release it on linux (and probably mac's ) but wouldnt it be wise to get it out on windows before anything els ?

I don't think the vast majority of their market is on windows...

Clearly, NVIDIA doesn't think that the vast majority of Quadro users run Windows.

I don't care -- if I had a Quadro I could run this software just fine :)
