Unreadable suntitles

Post by Jack_d_ripper01 » Thu Mar 11, 2004 3:11 pm

What do I do when I make a VCD out of Anime I downloaded off the net and I decide to make a VCD and I cant read the subtitles?

I swear I dont plan to sell it on the net; I just want to save it to CD's so I can conserve space on my PC. Does anyoen know how to fix this problem? Im using NERO to burn it.

You're really not supposed to be talking about downloaded anime around here, you know.

But to answer your question: Is there any reason you need to make VCDs out of them? You'll be losing quite a bit of quality. I'd just leave the files as are [originally put "as is" but thought this made more sense] and burn them to normal data CDs.

People need to either a) learn the rules or b) we need to convince Phade to put them in an easier to find place or a copy in all the forums and lock the thread as soon as it's posted. Talking about it is bad and the consequences could range from a warning to being username and IP banned (this happened to quite a few people on another board that was taken down a long time ago. If anyone remembers the BulbaGarden forums... I doubt it though (Yes, we were all addicted to Pokemon one time or another...))

VCD = massive quality loss, so follow Scintilla's advice: burn them on a CD as is and watch them from there (I did that with all my AMVs). Or convert them all to WMV (direct stream copy, if possible) and get a DVD player that plays WMV and just burn them onto a disc...
