Does VBR Mp3 ever make ANY real accomplishment?
In every VBR Mp3 I've seen, all it does is bounce within 20kbps of the average bitrate, except during moments of silence where it drops down to almost nil
VBR Video, that's fully understandable, but I'm developing this notion that VBR MP3 audio is nearly useless. :\

Audio takes up less space in general... So that small of a change might not be that noticeable... But it also depends on how you enocde the VBR file, because you can set it up to only drop to a certain bitrate.
I think it's useful, especially if you get into higher quality/long projects. Most people though seem to like Lame CBR @ 192/320kbits. So, I dunno. But yes it can help :p.
