Could you elaborate? Am I supposed to you this in combination with anything?

Well so far the Telecide without blending filter in the guide seems to give the best results of any AVISynth script I've seen. That and the Field bob (thanks by the way.) seem to work the best.

new update. The script causes (at least for this movie) jagged edges around the characters when the filter hits frames that had interlacing.

Most de-interlace filters cause jagged edges...

well to quote the great Winnie the Pooh.

Oh bother.

I know that decent video quality is doable. Otaku Productions' video Children of Fate was damn good. And I couldn't see any interlacing problems at all. (Part of the reason I was caught off gaurd when I saw how bad the interlacing REALLY was.)

First, I want to say that this movie must have been interlaced by Satan himself. I want to reconstruct the original movie frames and I'll do whatever it takes to acomplish it. What filters/scripts/unholy chants from the necronomicon must I use to get it back to the way it should be?
:P Woohoo!! For once PAL shows its merits!!

I also have the X movie DVD, I've ripped it and de-interlaced it WITHOUT A PROBLEM!! Maybe because its PAL 25fps....

So, I have nothing to add to this except: MY X DVD OWNS YOURS!!! :P
