codec error ??

Post by Bebop0083 » Thu Aug 14, 2003 8:43 pm

ok when ever i watch mpegs using my windows media player i always get an error downloading codec then it plays in a couple of secs. but when i watch my vids when im on the internet it takes 5 mins to do that before it plays. i was wondering how to fix that problem. also my dvd player needs a codec as well. i got indeo codec for it but it only worked for a couple of seconds. it wasnt playing the dvds that well but they were showing up but now it doesnt work any more. i thought maybe i needed a later codec for that. so if any one can help me out with the codecs issue thats grate cause its really annoying with those codec errors.

Please use correct grammar and capitalization, thank you.

As for your problem, does Media Player give you an error, and then proceed to play the video flawlessly or does it mess up with either the audio or the video?

first it gives the error then it plays correctly. some times though itll give the error and the aduio will be messed up. then i have to restart my computer in order to get it to work correctly.

Re-install directX or use a different media player.

For your DVD, get some new dvd-play back software like PowerDVD.
