o_o that is indeed strange...... So it exports dark with ANY codec you use?

When you export, click Settings, then Special Processing, and Modify. Is Gamma on 1.0? If not, change it. If so, is it still dark?

If its still dark, then I'm stumped. :\

gah. it dosent matter what codec he's using if his overlays are messed up.
Most people don't have divx4 either. And it's definitely not as good as DivX 5.03, XviD, or DivX 3.11. If you want the most support use 3.11, and the quality is better than 4 when making proper use of nandub and it's SBC capabilities.

oh, nah :/ that is divx 3.11. Good job. DivX 4 is a crappy first sprout from opendivx, just forget about it and never think about it again.
As long as you're using Nandub to compress it and using the SBC options, the quality should definitely be up to par.

its pretty easy, just download Nandub rc4 off doom9.org and set the bitrate you want in the SBC options. Leave everything else as is (you can tweak stuff, but its all rather advanced. Make sure DivX 3.11 is selected and not msmpeg4v2) and do 2 or 3 passes for extreme quality. The 3.11 codec by itself is crap, but SBC makes it good, great even.
