Re: The a-m-v.org awkward newbie phase
I guess you could say I was always a bit overdramatic. Still am a little bit... but I think all AMVers are somewhat over-the-top anyway-- that's probably what attracted me to the hobby in the first place. It's like concentrating a big ball of energy into a small space called an AMV. So it's no big s...

Re: Orgasmic Moonfall
Woah! MCHY. You've gotten way better since the last time I remember your work.
Good stuff. A bit on the showy side, but I guess that's the point, eh?

Re: Starting from the top
The approach on AMVGuide involves converting your sources to editing-friendly formats; so it should pretty much cover everything you need if you follow it from start to finish: http://amvguide.blogspot.ca/2012/08/introduction.html 1. If you are asking about using the audio from a video file, see sec...

Re: Externalize (Big Contest 2013)
Probably one of the best AMVs I've seen in a while.
I like how it's very story and visual driven, which is something AMVs need more of these days.
So... I just wanted to tip my hat and say good job

Re: Name Change request
Can I get my name changed from Phantasmagoriat to AMVGuide, please?
(I'm currently in the process of revitalizing my blog: http://amvguide.blogspot.ca/ so the name seems appropriate)

Re: Call to Arms: AVTECH4
Well, I probably should have been more clear about what I meant by dropdowns earlier. My intention is to add advanced information in a dropdown(s) at the end of each section wherever possible . That way, the most crucial info is right on the surface for Basic and Advanced users alike, while still ma...

Re: Call to Arms: AVTECH4
mirko, I'm not saying you are limited to little drop downs XD. Each one of those items you mentioned can easily have their own page as long as they relate together smoothly. From what it sounds like, I could easily make a subsection called Advanced Preparation & Cleaning, and you can put all your st...

Re: What is good?
I think "Good" is A Pattern of Value that never breaks even in extreme cases.
"Value" being assigned through Logic, Physical Response, or just Arbitrarily.
