Cracking open MP4 and MKV files for editing
Virtualdub and Premiere can't digest MP4 and MKV files terribly well. Some footage that I'd like to use can only be found in these formats. What's the best way to make these files useable?

Whoa, the AMVapp is structured quite a bit differently now compared to the way it used to be. Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for.Emotive wrote: Just download the AMVapp, lamemp3 is included and you can choose to install it individually if you don't want to install the entire AMVapp.

What ever happened to cross-compatibility?
Anyway, it doesn't matter anymore. I was digging through my deep archives and found an installer for a much older version of LAME.

Backup your important files, nuke your hard drive, and reinstall everything. It's what I do.

Well, I'd obviously prefer to work with .wav files, but all of my .wav files went down with the hard drive that they were on, and my actual CD collection is somewhere in my storage unit. Also, I can't find any wav or ISO files of the song/album that I want on [Redacted] Doesn't matter anymore, thoug...
