Re: Pacific Media Expo AMV contest

is anyone planning on submitting an AMV for the Pacific Media Expo in Anaheim? I am deciding if I should submit a video or not. PMX is a new convention formed by Mike Tatsugawa, the former CEO of Anime Expo/SPJA (long story behind that). It's on the Memorial Day weekend, which I hear is at or near ...

AX2003 AMV Review

I realize I'm probably the last one to the party here in posting his opinions on the AX2003 AMV contest, but I figure better late then never. This list is a direct copy of a similar message which I had already sent to the AMV mailing list. ------- Let me tell you... that little preamble I gave at my...

With all that out of the way, I'd just like to say that the MC at the masqurade sucked. :p :p :p That she did. Very much so. In her defence though, when she was asked to do this she expected to have a script all prepared. No script was prepared for her, and so she just had to wing it. I don't think...

You know, I was wondering if the order was weighted for who judges liked best @_@ No, it was not. In fact, the contest coordinators were quite alarmed (yet not surprised) that almost all the videos that won were the last ones played. They feel that the last video played has an unfair advantage, but...

xstylus, lemme cut to the point... I'd be careful throwing around statements like the one above about brad and vlad. It comes across as quite disrespectful. When amvs turn into football and we have announcers, then you can start to make comments like that... until then you might want to avoid them....

I have to give respect to Center of the sun, It was the best shown of the Category. Although mine was not shown, I feel it was better. I was really disappointed that "Through Time, Through Space" got very little recognition. I'll bet that had more people seen the movie it would have been appreciate...
