I'll try to find a video that has an example of what I mean, but i...

That's Posterization (usually confused with Banding, which is very similar). The usual culprit is colorspace conversions where there are insufficient bits per color (16 bits versus 24 or 32 bits), especially on low quality sources. Another possible cause is over aggressive settings for sharpeners a...

Ok, hopefully last question for awhile. Similar question to before, but this is for video that has been made already without using AviSynth. I want to know if there is anyway in VirtualDub to remove what is in this picture below. http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/8746/switchbackpu3.png In this shot...

This is more what I'm talking about. http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/6359/problem1rv7.jpg It's a little hard to see, but look on his sleeve and shoulder of his coat. That's the problem I have. In Gungrave it doesn't come out so bad, but in Hellsing Ultimate it was very easy to see. Looking at it...

2) This effect on characters clothing that causes a line of sorts with tiny boxes in those lines that move or "blink" as the character moves. (I'm not sure if I'm explaining that very well.) If anyone happens to know what problem 2 is called and how to fix it I'd love to know. Thanks. If it looks l...

No stress. AVISynth can be very troublesome, but the final results are worth the headaches. Well I've found an alternative method that looks promising. I can get the video with very little visual problems. Only two manifest... 1) Interlacing (which obviously all I have to do is deinterlace) 2) This...

dvd2Avi will automatically create seperate audio and video files. If you want them back together, toss them into a video editing program and line them up. Unless there's something I'm missing. Are you plaing it using your script in VDub? If so, that's normal. depending on what you use for IVTC and ...

Few questions on DvD2Avi... 1) I used it, but the sound clip came out as a seperate file. In most cases this wouldn't be an issue. However for this vid, I intend to use to audio from the original show in the vid. Any way to keep the two together? 2) When the video was done, it was running slower tha...

for side note 1, I don't know for side note 2, dvd2avi (which you should be using since you are using mpeg2dec3. if you are using dgindex you need to have dgdecode in your plugins folder instead of mpeg2dec3) is pretty much set it and forget it. K, I'll look into what you said here. I'll post back ...
