I seem to remember there being an option to "Only render selected region" or similar. Maybe that got unchecked. I had nothing but problems with SVP 8 with Win7 64 bit. They don't play well together. Try moving to ver 11. You said slow playback - is this playing in Vegas? Do the clips play OK in Medi...

Vegas has a button to do pretty much that - I think it's a lightning bolt, by the add new media button. Removes any media that is not in the timeline.

Shouldn't be a problem using a lossless codec.

Problem might be using Vegas 8. I had nothing but trouble with it under Win7 64bit. Upgraded to Vegas 11 and much improved.

Since rendering it in sections works, do that, load the sections and use them (with no FX/masks/anything) to render the finished clip.

Forgot to ask - what version Vegas, what OS?
