Where are the high quality AMVs?

I was left wanting to see original animation instead of just redrawings of existing ones. A fun experiment nonetheless.

Seriously. As an editor, I can barely watch real music videos because the timings and such are just so bad.

Unfortunately, making a real official music video requires a bit more than a DVD and your basic editing software.

I find the nominees and the purpose of this thread somewhat disappointing.

Isn't this just a simple case of anime losing its initial glamour and shine? I doubt too many can forever keep watching the amount of anime, as they used to when the hobby was still somewhat new and interesting. You just can't really expect to consume that much on the long run and it naturally tends...
