Re: Please help.
DVD Decrypter is the best for any special stuff, for a regular dump use whatever you're comfortable with. I do a lot of PGS splitting in IFO mode (pulling specific episodes into single vob's and demuxing audio tracks) so DVD Decrypter is godly.

Re: VirtualDubMod constantly rendering and won't stop
>implying anything neuron2 codes is worth using (☞゚∀゚)☞ O U TBH, Telecide is better than TFM when you are doing 100% manual IVTC I find, because TFM tries to be clever and messes you up. On some funky sources though it is needed. Rarely have I found the need though. By manual I mean writing out OVR ...

Re: What to do!?
What about the blurays with 480i/480p/576i/576p content? There are 6 that I know of, and a lot more that have it as a non-main feature, for example the Xam'd blurays.
Also, stop linking doom9, it's ancient outdated shit. We use doom10 now, but it lacks guides, as they are not necessary.

Re: huffy/lagarith
It seems I was wrong and it got removed. Apparently it was never part of the interface in the first place, only the code underneath for other things to use. My bad~

Re: huffy/lagarith
Actually it does, but it has been forever since I've used ffdshow and it probably just lacks it being exposed to the interface.

Re: How to convert MP4's with the new AMVapp 3.0 beta
We've been continually telling him to use FFMS2 though. Also, ffdshow isn't a decoder, libavcodec is what does it for ffdshow by default.

Re: What to do!?
MPEG4 does not mean H.264. It can be multiple codecs (and containers). MPEG4-AVC is what bluray has. MPEG4-ASP for example is what XviD and DivX are. VC-1 is by no means a shitty codec, it just isn't as good as AVC. There are times when MPEG2 is better than AVC as well. Constant ratefactor is there ...

Re: What to do!?
i had a feeling that you misspelled cfr for a reason. Yes I've heard of quality encoding, 1 pass, 2 pass, npass, and quality are the 4 mainstream options. I use one pass. He didn't misspell it at all, he wrote CRF. You don't know much about x264 do you? You have constant quantizer, constant ratefac...
