Re: File problem with FCE ("codec could not be opened")

Re: VirtualDub constantly crashing
Either vdub hangs while indexing (just wait, or index externally like mirko said), or otherwise if you meant on render, lol 32bit file addressing and your encoder library.

Re: Encoding with Zarx264gui and lags
Gods that is ridiculously hard to read, can't you just paste MediaInfo output like a regular person? AVI info is useless and vdub doesn't tell you what's really going on, only what the AVI container THINKS is happening.

Re: Building a New Computer
Not sure why you're going for such expensive HDDs instead of cheaper ones and using the spare funds on faster RAM. You'd be better off getting a slightly better Sandy Bridge than going for the newer Ivy Bridge chips; IB has no benefit for desktop unless you care about PSU.

Re: Distorted Image in FCE

Re: [64bit AVS&MT and whatnot]
Please don't call me hatter, that is someone else. SoraThread is interesting; it looks like a less detailed, single-CPU take on my pipelined MPP frameserving writeup. Certainly more stable than what I expect existing MT stuff to be but I'm not convinced it gets around some of the issues we see thank...

Re: Audio choosing help
If you're not using trip-hop Touhou remixes, you're doing it wrong. It works for everything.

Re: Ut Video x64 vs x86
The issue with temporal filtering in MT is more about quality than performance/stability imo, and steps from problems in slice based threading when temporal filters won't necessarily line up properly. Just don't do it. Stability issues are more about how avs handles frame caching and queueing. That ...
