My slightly educated guess is that in "Fast Recompress" mode, it is actually using a YUV pixel format, but in "Normal Recompress" is using RGB. YUV modes would give smaller files because there are better compression modes in HuffYUV for YUV, but also, YUV modes tend to use packed formats like YUY2, ...

Hell, I'd consider a "re-make the greats" theme I dunno, I think that would only bring up all the things that some of us old-schoolers find annoying about modern-day AMVs. Say someone tried to remake Engel...basically the only thing you could possibly add to that video is flashy effects, which woul...

This guide is a bit more up to date, and it is also in sync with the AMVApp, being from the same people that put together the AMVApp.

Yes, something is going on with the upload checking queue. There are currently 107 items waiting in the queue, and the number keeps going up. We just have to wait for an admin to go in and see what is broken with the program that does the checking.

Re: problems decrypting

I've just read the guides and I have the dvd decrypter. Right now I'm in the process of ripping My Love Hina Volume two, but it isn't progressing. The computer doesn't work any harder with more drives, just has more storage space to look through. Both USB and Firewire use CPU time during all transfers. If you have more drives, and are accessing them all concurrently, like by doing some crazy raid setup, your CPU usage during any disk access w...
