I use a Lite-ON DVD-ROM drive in my editing system. I've had it for years. There is a utility out there to disable to region checking part of the firmware, without having to patch the drive at all. This is handy if you have any imported DVDs.

That said, I usually only buy from Suncoast if I can't get it cheaper anywhere else. New releases are almost always priced $10 off from retail during the first 30 days or so. And considering I'm a loyal Replay member, I get coupons back from them from time to time and always take advantage of bonus...
