Actually, random, unnecessary subtitles are bad. There are a few videos where having the subtitles in certain scenes help the story/ concept along . I use this program: PSP Video 9 . And so far no problems. The only issue I've heard of was that the PSP using older firmware than 2.5 would sometimes skip a frame every so often. 2.5 and the new 2.6 firmwares supposedly fixed this, so upgrading would be recommended unless you are using home-brew app...
