Before everyone starts getting wound up and words like "right" and "wrong" start getting thrown around too much, take a deep breath and remember that this thread isn't about whether such shows should be allowed, but rather about where these shows spring from. Whether or not we agree with the existen...

I finished watching Haibane Renmei about a month ago, and fell deeply in love with it. It's this series that has inspired me to quit lurking on this site and actually get the gumption together to try making an amv myself. Of course, that may be a good or bad thing depending... *g* Back to the point....

First off, I agree with everyone who's suggested that seeing younger girls as sexually available is something that springs from Japanese culture more than anything else. There's also something to be said for the idea that Western Otaku might be into the lolicon stuff simply because it's Japanese. Ho...

Not sure this is the right forum, but I'm sure a mod will shift the thread if necessary. One good Sailor Jupiter profile piece that's worth checking out is Red Wolf's "Drops of Sailor Jupiter". It's not quite up to Aluminium Studios' standards IMO, but it's still a good, enjoyable vid. It's certainl...

I always read the vid information. They tend to be a barometer of several things: The creator's ability to string thoughts together. The creator's dedication to the vid in general. The actual content of the vid. The work that went into the vid. If I see no video information I'll tend not to download...

XVid / Matroska: What am I doing wrong?

I've got a very weird situation when I try playing back XVid files on WMP. If I've only just opened the player then the XVid amv will usually play fine. If I've already been playing some other (differently encoded) amvs on the same player beforehand though, the XVid file will usually crash the playe...

Well I'll preface my comment with the disclaimer that I've only just begun editing my very very first AMV, so have minimal first hand experience, but... I get the impression that AMV creating is much like any other form of creative art. I'm a writer. Not a great one - I've had some stuff published a...

How about IcyCloud's fabulous "Beyond Rhythm"? Loads of different anime series, to a wonderfully upbeat tune.
