Very nice. No actual tears, I regret to report, but definitely a very moving and emotional piece. Actually, knowing the background of the vid, where your inspiration came from, made it a much more emotional experience for me. Nothing like layers of meaning in an amv... Anyway, great work. Keep it up!

I'm another one who hasn't seen the anime yet, but I have seen the live-action film, which was great, as well as the first couple of chapters of the manga. This really is a great story, which avoids the pitfalls of being too "cute" or syrupy, and is confident enough to put its faith in the strength ...

I like a good long info page, myself. It doesn't usually affect my scoring, but it makes a tremendous difference both to whether I'll leave an op, and to what that op will say. Plus, chances are I won't have downloaded a vid that only gives me a couple of lines of description. I like to know what I'...

I don't think I'd count myself as someone who cries incredibly easily, but I have found myself tearing up on a few occasions watching anime. Wolf's Rain - twice. If you know the series, you know the eps I mean. Haibane Renmei - the end. I was a wreck. Good example of series hitting you emotionally n...

Thanks for the advice, guys. Unfortunately a googling session hasn't yielded anything in the way of handy multi-track plugins (although there are a ton of cheesy effects plugins... go figure), but I'm not giving in yet. *g* Dokidoki - great links, thanks. It's going to take me a while to work them o...

Masking without the benefit of Premiere or AE
Ok, first question, is it possible? My resources are supremely limited, in that I only have WMM2, Paintshop Pro 4 (nope, I don't even have photoshop) and the ever wonderful Virtual Dub. What I want to do is reduce lip flap, nothing more complicated than that, but I'm not really sure where to begin w...

All right, so the heart of this discussion seems to have reached an impasse. One party says we should try to establish/defend the org's right to distribute AMVs, and at the same time the editors' rights to create them in the first place; the other says we are all basically doing something that's ill...

Got into this whole scene through FF rpg music videos. So I guess the first one was probably Feanor's "Final Fantasy 8 - Silence" (gotta love those straightforward titles... *g*), set to Delerium's "Silence", and downloaded via that wonder that was iMesh. All I can say is thank God I found those FF ...
