The form of an amv depends on what the creator wants to get out of it. By extension, the shape of the amv "community" in general will depend on the attitudes and expectations of its members. Why do we create amvs? Perhaps seeing it as an artform is the most useful. If amvs are art, we have to rememb...

7729 As the title suggests, this track is from the 2nd DDR project mix, profiling DDR music with any number of anime. Kusoyaro uses a pretty wide mix of anime for this vid, edited together in a supremely addictive, bouncy style. This is one of the first vids that got me into AMVs, and has been a fe...

Mai Hime episode 16 has a brief pizza moment during the karaoke extravangaza, but it's more or less just the one shot, I'm afraid.

I've heard that wmm can get very buggy if you try to use it to edit XviD or DivX encoded video, so it may be that. Best thing to do is convert the XviD footage to lossless HuffYUV clips and edit with those instead. I've discovered that even then wmm freezes all the time anyway. Just save immediately...

Compressing PAL footage in TMPGEnc

I've got to the stage where I have a huffy master of my vid, and am ready to compress it to mpeg 1 to make a beta, but before I do something very stupid indeed I wanted to do a double check. My footage came from R2 PAL DVDs, and has been edited and exported at 25fps. Do I need to compress at the sam...

Never heard them referred to as GA before, but yes, I'm familiar with Groove Armada. Haven't heard 'Think Twice' either (off the new album, right?), but if it's anything like their past output, making an amv to that kind of stuff strikes me as being incredibly hard. Laid back grooves are fabulous to...

If it's dedicated to a particular person, why the blazes are you exposing it to the entire internet? haha sometimes public affection is appreciated XD... Definitely. This is why authors tend dedicate to dedicate their novels to certain individuals - it's a public acknowledgement of that person, and...
