It really should of been called "Classic" instead of "OldSchool".. Never the less, the video was awsome and deserved to win for sure Vlad Classic would have been a better term as oldschool typically implies a certain era or is very relative. Agreed. When a few of us heard the term, we thought...two...

Congrats to all the winners and it was really cool to finally meet a bunch of you people (even ones I met for like 10 seconds). I have to admit that even though this is a relatively small Con, the AMV related activities and editor presence makes this an easy event that I will be attending yearly fro...

Yes it certainly was! Remembering you and Mike talking about it at Otakon sealed the deal. :D

I'm looking forward to it! I'll hopefully see you, Mike and the others tomorrow night.

According to the boards and the site it is a ball first and an anime convention second in relation to this event. There have been a LOT of miscomprehensions regarding this and they said they have had to turn people away for not being dressed appropriatly. Like I said, I'd suggest e-mailing the coor...

I enjoy watching them at Cons the most. That's a big reason I go to them, especially ones that have a nice setup (AnimeBoston, Otakon, etc...). However, I usually plug my laptop to a 50" TV and watch them that way. It's mainly because I can lounge comfortably on the couch. I don't mind watching them...

Hey!- Does anyone know about the topless bar up the street from the AWA? It's right next to the authentic Japanese restaurant. It might be a good 'alternate' place to meet *evil grin* -"But boobs are food. It's eye candy for the soul." I dont know.. but maybe u can get lee to take off his shirt whe...

It does - if people think your video is going to suck and then it blows them away, that makes it that much better in the eyes of the audience.
Good point. Set low expectations.

I was just pointing it out as a fact that it does work to your advantage sometimes. "In fact, at Otakon I seem to recall people *booing* his video once they saw the audio source and then cheering heavily once they saw the entire video." That doesn't sound like it worked to his advantage. In ...
