My favorite part of an anime? It would have to be the world that the show portrays. Many of my favorite anime I chose because I love how the world works and how amazing everything meshes together. Just because I'm intrigued by a world does not necessarily mean I would want to live in that world, tho...

Yeah, I too spoiled myself on the plot for the games. Wow, the final 2 arcs are absolutely insane. I got the whole "epic" vibe from just reading the intro to the 7th arc's game. Must...see...this...animated...

I agree with Crispin Freeman as Kyon voice, I was totally cracking up in that scene where he was naming off the days for Haruhi's hairstyle. Stephanie Sheh also had a decidedly solid performance, as you guys have noted. Didn't hear enough of Yuki or Itsuki. I guess Itsuki's OK from the little that w...

Last Exile had some of the best CG scenes I've seen in TV anime, IMHO. Airships are just that cool.

If it's any help, the 3 anime currently airing in Japan this season that have recieved probably the most blog attention on the internet are Death Note, Kanon 2006, and Code Geass. I confess, I didn't expect Kanon to be my favorite of the bunch, but Kyoto Animation has only proven their excellence ev...

You like war stories? If so, I'd suggest Last Exile. It's sorta like World War I, only done with airships. Everything other than flight technology is still very 19th-early 20th century, though, which gives it a nice classic feel that I kinda like. There's aerial dogfights between planes and some pre...

First off, I was bored one day, and having just started making custom Fire Emblem stat sheets, I decided to be silly: http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/2663/akiko3dp0.png Anyway, I'm enjoying this series, and it has only bolstered my already sky-high opinion of KyoAni. I'd also like to say that I per...

I'm still impressed that they actually paid attention to the fan votes for voice actors. Seriously, no matter how it ends up, the fans don't really have as much ammo for complaining about the dub job compared to nearly every other anime out there.

Interestingly enough, that 9th episode was actually scripted by the actual author himself, Nagaru Tanigawa, so I bet he took careful considerations into fitting it to the overall canon. And a couple novel readers said that this takes place before Volume 4 of the light novel. After looking closely a...

The full dance ED is one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen in my life. There's a higher quality large screen downloadable version somewhere... Too awesome for words, you'll have to see it. Here are some screencaps too: http://www.designchronicle.com/memento/archives/sosbrigade_harehare...
