Really nothing is going to be as easy as WMM. Learning curves shouldn't deter you though, the more advanced programs aren't impossible to learn, they just take time and patience. You'll have much more editing power at your disposal...wouldn't you rather that than settle for something because it's ea...

Been a while since I used it, but I think AmazingSlowDowner could do something to that effect..though Audacity is probably the better choice.

Woo. a non-romantic Ah! My Goddess video. Good stuff.

Was the frame blending in the slowed down scenes intentional?

Pretty good. Very clean encoding, which I appreciated. The song didn't really have a climax though, it was more like "chill out" music, making the video hard to watch after about 2 minutes.

Honestly the effects didn't do it for me, particulary the rectangle mask (just didn't fit) and the half-opacity clips (seemed off beat). Black flashes seemed gratuitous as well. Other than that, I liked your choice of clips and how they presented the two main characters.

Well, since the videos you posted don't share any anime, it's probably not a source effect (unless the source listings are lying..).

I don't think Premiere can create a star like that without a special plugin, if that answers your question. Premiere could do the blurs, though.

The guides are here to help you with problems like this. They will explain it far better than anyone could in a single post. Basically, you're having some quality issues. Buy a DVD for your anime footage then Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides.
