Do not use H.264 in AVI. It's not supported. As for getting Zarx's program to work in Vista, you need to manually edit the command line (MP4box has a default behaviour for temp files but it doesn't work the same in Vista). You need to add -tmp and the directory after in the mp4box command line, so f...

The only thing I would suggest for your consideration would be using AAC over Vorbis. Both have great quality and recent builds of Nero AAC are generally better than the custom Vorbis builds. Also it means with using H.264 and AAC, if someone should wish to convert the MKV to MP4, they can do so wit...

Though we've all been around years now and know the score, there are still people who are new to computers, or who are only just discovering AMVs who may not have the slightest knowledge of MKV, MP4 or even XviD. My reasoning behind MP4 is that a lot of commercial software supports it, so say for ex...

You can check out this for an (old) rundown of x264 options: http://aflux.deltaanime.net/Zero1/MP4/x264.html However you don't have to use MKV. My guide actually suggests using MP4 due to the fact that it's more widespread and has hardware compatability. There's no need to use MKV unless you want su...

I think when using Zarx's GUIm you can basically take your brain out and get great quality. IMO, Zarx's GUI is a lot easier than VDub, providing you have the relevant stuff installed

NEVER USE VIDEO FOR WINDOWS, THEN ATTEMPT TO STORE IT IN MP4 This isn't aimed at anyone in particular, so don't take it as a personal yelling at. As I hope you all know by now, H.264 in AVI, or encoding it using Virtualdub/VfW is BAD and WRONG . Basically to go into it would be beyond the scope of ...

I can't help you much with flash players because I don't do enough web based stuff to have experience with it, nor have I had the chance to install it and test it (I'd like to once I format my laptop). However, following one of the links I came across this: You can load and play .mp4,.m4v,.m4a,.mov ...

Posting from my Wii so I'll keep this short. Try the other Nero builds; there are some for SSE2 and some for CPUs that don't have that (then again Vista installation probably mandates certain features). Basically try older or newer builds; I believe there were some changes recently.

New Flash player supports H.264/AAC/TTXT/MP4

I'm sorta copy pasta'ing some news from doom9, but I thought this would be of interest for those using MP4. It's obviously a big helping hand for MP4 (not that it really needs it), and it should mean you can do some cool stuff website wise with streaming videos. Anyway, here is the doom9 post: http:...
