I'm not sure if this would be allowed here (the forum description is vague in this regard) but if not I'd appreciate guidance on the matter. It's an experiment of sorts. I'd be interested in providing opinions without asking for any in return (a custom which I believe skews reviews). However, there ...

I think the reason i would ask a question like "how hight is the bar" or "what is considered good" I don't understand what you're worried about, I thought your AMV was very good. Sure, the pacing and the sync could be tighter, but you managed a good match between the song and the visuals and it was...

Re: Anime North AMV Contest 2007
Two questions:
A total of one competition and one exhibition videos are
allowed, but can two exhibition AMVs be submitted instead?
Are exhibition AMVs screened during the main contest?
Thanks!

1. Very nice AMV, I liked it a lot. 2. I think the text is unnecessary. Making it "67" instead of "36" would have been more daring. 3. It always seems to me that long explanations only serve for AMV editors to show how clever they are. An AMV either stands on its own or it doesn't. 4. The mood, stor...

When everything was all said and done, that was the best i could get it. Of course if I am doing something wrongthen i will try to fix it and get a better quality video up. You didn't compress your audio, that's taking up most of your space (and bits which would be much better spent on the video st...

Has anyone tried dual video track releases? I've thought about this, but not in the way you are thinking. My idea is to make an AMV which can sync with two separate audio tracks, all in a single MKV. For extra effect use contrasting songs: one is a drama AMV, the other comedy. Have yet to see that ...

I use an h264/vorbis/mkv combo. My target is about 3-4MB per minute of video. Plays OK, looks OK, users with slow connections should be happy. However, I have a hunch that people who see videos smaller than 20MB automatically assume it must look crappy. While I don't expect visual greatness from a 1...

There's a high-quality movie called "Elephant's Dream" which is CC-licensed. All 15691 high-quality HD (1920x1080) PNG frames are available at: http://media.xiph.org/ED/ (my interest in this stems also from the fact that the video editor I work with uses PNG as its native format, so it'd be natural ...
