Could anyone give me some insight on what specifications I should have to fluently run After Effects? I wanted to switch over from Vegas, but my computer is getting the meat.
Windows 8 (64-Bit)
Intel Core i5 @ 3.20 GHZ
8 GB Ram

Update: Problem solved, had to install the latest version which initiated a couple of bug fixes.

Ram/Live Preview Advice?
Can someone refer to me to the version of After Effects that isn't ass? Kind of hard to sync my footage when I can't ram or live preview.

Thanks for the help! I've always wanted to incorporate them and didn't know where to start. I'll be sure to clean my scans and keep the pacing. Think the pace could have been kicked up a notch a bit. You have moments where the pacing feels approriate, but then it slows down again and scenes are left to linger a bit long. Cutting on action and showing things from different angles and shots would have helped up the pace and help hit some ext...
