Could anyone give me some insight on what specifications I should have to fluently run After Effects? I wanted to switch over from Vegas, but my computer is getting the meat.

Windows 8 (64-Bit)
Intel Core i5 @ 3.20 GHZ
8 GB Ram

What do you guys have?

Update: Problem solved, had to install the latest version which initiated a couple of bug fixes.

Can someone refer to me to the version of After Effects that isn't ass? Kind of hard to sync my footage when I can't ram or live preview.

Think the pace could have been kicked up a notch a bit. You have moments where the pacing feels approriate, but then it slows down again and scenes are left to linger a bit long. Cutting on action and showing things from different angles and shots would have helped up the pace and help hit some ext...
