I would just like to add that if your file is a .avi, be sure and import as avisource and not directshowsource. It's one of the big options that comes up when you drag the file in, so it shouldn't be difficult and it makes it a lot better.

I tried out the method myself because I wasn't familiar with resizing in Virtualdub; while it's not my method of choice, it did work just fine and it kept the same PAR because of the options recommended....
