I don't know of any deinterlace option on the PS3. My SDTV only has S-video/composite connections and the same is true for my Dazzle. Looked for a 480p option, but didn't find anything of the sort on the PS3. Though, if the problem is with interlace why do you not catch those same disgusting artifac...
