The web uploader should work now, so you shouldn't need to mess with FTP.

Re: AMV titles

It can make your work stand out in a unique way (although yeah, it makes your work harder to find, I'm sure...). I honestly believe that if you called your AMV "GUNBUSTER FUTURE FUNK a e s t h e t I c A M V" instead of "VY CMa," it would have like 100,000 views on YT. But at wha...

Re: what are the absolute oldest AMVs?

The earliest AMVs I'm aware of after Kaposztas' are this guy's work, which you may already be aware of. There are a few others from the mid-90s that I know of, but you probably already know about most of those too.

Re: AMV titles

I agree with all of this. In fact, this is possibly one of my biggest pet peeves when watching AMVs. I feel like a good title can give your work some real weight and even shades of meaning that viewers may completely miss otherwise. It can make your work stand out in a unique way (although yeah, it ...

Re: There was no AMV panel at Anime North 2018

Would technical “how to edit” panels ever run into pushback from con organizers for fear that they’d inevitably be seen as step by step guides to violating copyright? I think it's more that with the prevalence of YouTube and guides uploaded there, step-by-step panels are basically obsolete. And goo...

Re: Im going to edit an AMV on VHS with a setup that cost over $25,000 in the 90's

Will do! I'm currently waiting for some more tapes to come in off eBay and I have yet to decide on a song, but I will give updates. I'm kinda thinking Ready Aim Fire by Imagine Dragons could be neet, but I don't know. I kinda want to go with something 90's, but I don't know what song. In my opinion...

This is awesome and please post it here and on AMVCentral when you're done. Also this might be helpful, I don't know.

Re: Using anime ost's

It tends to feel too...uh, obvious, I guess? And slightly lazy? I mean if it works, it works, but I can almost guarantee you there's some other song out there that would do the job just as well or better and would come across as more original (and more intriguing to most viewers). Also ask yourself ...

Re: Unlimited Mess Works

Agreed with pretty much everything seasons said. You made this source about as appealing as it's probably possible to make it to me, which is to say not very much, but no other Fate AMV has even done that before. The video is nothing especially outstanding but the simple editing and non-oversynced a...

Re: State of the Viewers Choice Awards

Opening this to the general interwebs is a good idea, but does cause a few complications with management. ⋅ Open submission is probably the best way to go, since a form on the main page won't limit this to .org users the way forum submissions will. That said, even with a clever database t...

Re: ECS.01: Metropolis

I really, really like this, but that's probably no surprise at all. Totally enjoy the moody, ambient feeling of the first half of the video, and the clips in the final minute or so gradually amp up the action in a way that kept me hooked, lending some dramatic stakes to your tour through this gritt...
