ok- i just used the program DVD Decrypter on a dvd i own and made a VOB file.

Don't use compressed formats - that's wmv, mpg, avi (xvid, divx). Download and install the amvapp package and use VirtualDub to convert your clips to huffyuv. Try importing those into wmm. ok, i downloaded it but now it won't let me put my clips in is there some place that has a step-by-step guide?...

Some Clips Won't Work....
ok, i just got a new laptop with windows vista movie maker and when i imported my usual clips into it (they are .wmv's), they wouldn't play or work. only two of my tons of clips work and there is another clip that works but is green and purple tinted. help please!

If 5.0 works anything like 2.0, you need to make a seperate layer for each differnt frame in the animation and past them in the order you want them to play on top of the original pic. Then save for web... GIF and choose animate check box. If it's different... then I don't know. i just tried it out ...
