If you are attempting to play this DVD on a non DivX DVD player, the format cannot be DivX, or XviD, or any other codec of the sort. I'm not sure on what codecs Encore will take in, because I've only used MPEG2 encodes, but once Encore has transcoded them you can delete the file thats you brought into Encore because it saves the transcodes (because thats what it uses when buring the dvd). For changing frame size, just put the original video file into an AVISytnh script and put it through either TMPGEnc or VurtualDub.
