OK – I did some research on the web and found that if I recompiled the source code using “Build – Set Active Configuration – im_avisynth – Win32 Release”, it doesn’t seem to need the MSVCRTD.dll anymore. Well, it seems to work, but only if you have Visual C++ installed. Before I installed VC++ I was getting an error that "MSVCRTD.dll" was not found. Premiere Pro would go ahead and run but wouldn't let you open AVS files.

Um... why is your avs file listed as .avi? AbsoluteDestiny, I figured out Why the AVS file was listing as “video.AVI”. I was using YUV, but tried RGB with the same results. I just found something interesting; if you resize the video from 720x480 to 640x480 in the avs file it shows single frames garbled too.
