For some reason when I try to make an amv using wmm, or watch an anime using wmp, both programs keep crashing. I'm not sure what the problem is and I never had this problem before. Any suggestions

I'm tryin to make a amv using wmm. The video file is an .avi format. When I make the amv it will start to run smoothly and then it will freeze up at points, sometimes shutting wmm down. I dont want to convert the file to wmv because it will reduce the quality. Any suggestions?
