@Vivaldi: Were you able to resolve the problem in AE?

Kionon is correct...I resized it so that I could work with 720x480. I will resize it eventually to 640x480 to upload it here but all of the AMV contests want 720x480 so that's where I usually start from. As for why the PAR is 0.9 I honestly have no idea since my project setting is set to Square Pixe...

The PAR for both my project files and my timeline clips is 0.9

I'm not sure what you mean by LanczosResize resolution. The only reason I resized it was to get it from a 16:9 to a 4:3 aspect ratio. Would resizing it like that change the resolution?

No, the borders (which appear on the left and right sides, not the top and bottom) do not appear when I open the .avi wrapped files in virtual dub nor do they appear if I open the files in windows media player. I took the interlaced=true and the assumefps(24) out but I'm still getting the borders in...

I am editing .avs files that have been frameserved with an avi wrapper. I am ...

On a whim I copied and pasted the plugin into every folder in the APP directory and now it's working.

Thanks again for your help Illwilledmarine.

I uninstalled and re-installed again and found that AMVapp had installed it to my Premiere 6.5 plugins directory (since I still have the older software on my hard drive) so I made sure to install it in the Premiere Pro plugins directory but I'm still getting the same message when I try to import .av...

OK...new problem. After uninstalling and then re-installing the AMVapp, I can no longer import .avs files into Premiere Pro. I was having no problems importing them before and I'm not sure why this is happening now since AMVapp includes a Premiere avisynth import filter.
