There's nothing wrong with adding text if you want. It's a style choice, not a "mistake". Some people like it, some don't, it's up to you as the editor to decide if you want it in your video.

It's more common for audio copyright holders to monetize your video rather than remove it and lose out on potential revenue, These deals with the record companies seem pretty recent. Not that recent. It loads just fine because I'm using a current version?
VirtualDub2, it's in the AMV Pack. You can just drag and drop the mp4/mkv into it, easier than ever, been able to do this for a few years now.
