Re: Unofficial AWA 2010 results thread
I don't want to get on anyones sides here when the shitstorm goes on, just something that caught my eye: @Kham wow, you really can't handle criticism at all can you? You weren't criticizing him, you were just saying "-fk fk fk fk fk fuck you Appletree and your creator!". That's just flaming, and you...

Re: Unofficial AWA 2010 results thread
wow, that came unexpected. After my video wasn't even shown on the Connichi in Germany, I didn't expect to win anything at other contests ^^

I highly doubt that. Perhaps you mean someone else?Dr. Faux Pas wrote: I think RottenJesus made the High School of the Dead video Left 2 Die, which won... Best Technical? Something like that.

Re: [Connichi 2010] Living on the C-List
You know what i think about it. Good work, but could have been better when focused more on one char and his point of view. Thanks! Surely something that I intended, as Koyuki was the singer of the song in my mind all the time. I guess some more lipsync would have made that more clearly, but I ...

Thanks for your comment!S.A. Robert wrote:The video turned out good, but boring truth.
I guess it really could have been more exciting. I wanted to focus on storytelling here though, as I myself find pure action-amvs pretty boring ^^ I'll consider putting more excitement in when I make a project like that again.

[Connichi 2010] Living on the C-List
Hey guys! After being a unmotivated bastard for over 5 years, I took the courage to complete a video and send it in to the german Connichi-contest. It didn't win a price there though, it's not really suited for a con public, as it is no action-amv that blows your head off or makes you laugh. It is a...

Re: How to select clips?
Also make simple scripts that don't hinder performance in vegas. Always keep deinterlacing, frame rate/size changes alone alone because if you change it later, all the scenes will be moved around in your timeline. When you are done editing, you can just add scripts to clean up the footage, remake t...

Re: How to select clips?
If you find out a clip you imagined doesn't actually exist, animate it yourself. Ok, with my background knowledge in AE and the sort of, that's not quite the option for me now ^^ bad is well you can't really clean this footage... unless your gonna clean the entire thing or do it post-editing. ...

Re: How to select clips?
I'm already working with full dvd-clips and that, but from your answers I guess I just need a stricter concept what I really want to have on certain parts, so that I can better distinguish which scenes suit and which don't. Guess I have to work on that more. I only manage to get a tight concept on c...

How to select clips?
Hi there all you veterans! I returned to the site once again, as I'm doing since a couple of years. I started with one AMV back in 2004 and couldn't get my ass to finish a whole project since then. Every now and then, the ideas come back swirling in my head and I try to start once again. Lasts for a...
