It is not essential to continuously cut to Bulma attempting to (again, unsucessfully) radio earth for help during intense fight scenes. Looks to me like you've only seen the Freeza saga, DUBBED, no doubt. Without Bulma there would be NO future, she created the time machine for Trunks so he could go...
