Well as strait forward as this is I’m sure this is, I still feel obligated to explain my actions.
The “Nabe-soft” logo was a last minute addition. I honestly found it on accident when I was watching the DVD looking for more source footage. When it hit the screen a brain-cell died somewhere in the back of my head, it be came a “must” merely for disturbing points. That and it gave Mike, Crow and Tom Servo time to make it in to the theater. ^_^
The next part is just the *cough* “theatrical” opening to the 3rd episode, the main footage used in the video. Actually episode 3 WAS the main inspiration for this video. But since the episode is soooo cheesy (paper-doll paratroopers, Helicopters on strings, exc) I was ever so forced to incorporate the Mystery Science Theater trio into this intro. For those uninformed, MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000) is a show designed with the sole purpose of poking fun at Hollywood’s not-so-greats. All the footage and audio is a direct rip from their rippage of the 1960’s classic "Agent for Harm!" I figured since both this movie and my video are done with all the panachè and charisma of a B-film, it would a perfect mixture. I couldn’t have been more wrong, but more right at the same time. Well, not much more can be said on this subject so I will leave you to view the rest for yourself.

    The AMV Anatomy:
This is just simply my take on Nabeshin verses on the roll of Agent 007… and fails miserably. The footage was ripped from the entirety of Excel Saga, so you don’t have to worry about over used footage or dry unrelating scenes. It flows smoothly to the music; no drastic cuts or seizure provoking clips at 5000x normal speed. My favored style of AMVing, slow flowing scenes that tell a detailed story. I try not to use a whole lot of transitions or flashy effects, because it tends to distract from the overall tale. A few fades, but mostly subtle, close to the end you may notice an overlay here and there, but simply for dramatic effect. Of course as dramatic as it still is, try not to take it too seriously, its an attempt at the Ironically Dramatic. Funny without being blatant (does not apply to the intro!) The inspiration for such insanity? If you have to ask you haven’t seen Excel. I wished to add some Puny Puny, but because the domestic release is still a ways away so for now I am forced to settle. Pay close attention in instrumental portion or you may miss some very key sequences. Either way please enjoy. Remember turn off all cellular devices, and pleases do not throw popcorn at the robots, if provoked they will attack… “To the eXtReMe!¡!”
