Zettai Karen Children

This show is also an incredible funny new series.

So the question is who else is watching this?

Looking at the first 4 eps, and it is clear this is good amv material.

Lots of fanservice attention, funny sequences, and one of the main characters is sure an interesting blend of anime staples.

Cute 10 year old schoolgirl, that is incredibly power with ESP, has never gone to school, and seems to be an old geezer at heart. Not quite a lesbian, seems more like an old man trapped in a little girl :)

And the opening tune is exceedingly cute sounding.

So I was bored the other day and decided to give this show a shot for no particular reason. Upon reading the show's description, I didn't really expect to like it to much, but I'm pleased to say I actually found it to be rather entertaining. Pretty good humor and a somewhat different premise from what I'm used to watching. I might end up following this one, at least for a while.

Life is good, I've seen up to ep 08 (and why is this not in the series section yet?).

The show is starting to get real interesting, especially with the red head.

And I am enjoying Kamen no Maid Guy and as well starting Clannad.

Gotta love a regular dose of good anime :)

Still waiting to get this moved to the series section.

Watched number 9 today and dang what a funny premise for a show this ep :)

Ep 11 and I guess they have officially done the obligatory hot springs show now :)

It's interesting not many are talking about this show.

Frankly I find it hilarious how they are pounding the crap out of the atypical cliche anime themes and being brazen enough to do it all with 10 year old girls too. Maybe that's part of the problem.

I'd have thought the loli nuts would be on this show like tax lawyers.

Currently I'm going nuts trying to locate the opening tune. Also want to find pictures of the singers.

Ok, I got a good lawl out of these "Comericans" as they are being called. Some things in this show just seem so random, lol. I definitely find it all amusing, though.

You looking for the actual song or the version the show uses? (And same question with the singers. :P)

I though I might like this, but it was very crappy.
Reason : There are kids with superpowers.

Found the opening song. Actually found all 4 versions the liner/inserts/disk images etc all in one gulp. Has to be about the hardest thing I have ever hunted in a loooooong time.

The opening song is by 3 girls performing under the name Karen Girls. They are not character voices though, nor do they sing the ending (the character actresses do that).
It is interesting though how young the girls are. Amazing the character actresses can sound so young as they are in their mid 20s while the Karen girls look lucky to be in their teens.
I was able to find no small amount of voice actress info through anime news network sources, but finding out about the Karen girls was almost impossible (if you can't read Japanese).

Odd justification. If I avoided anime based on age, I'd likely need to avoid anime entirely.

Anything under 30 might as well be seen as a kid to me.

It's the fact that the characters are so young that makes the show so crazy funny.
Kaoru might as well be Ranma's Happosai she acts like such an out of control letch :)

It's been interesting seeing the girls deal with the problem of so much power so much responsibility and yet still having the real maturity of actual kids.

Actually, it's an interesting social commentary, as society is already guilty of routinely dumping too much of the adult world on kids as it is.
